The Jordan Basin Improvement District (the “District”) provides wastewater collection and treatment services for portions of Salt Lake County and Utah County, Utah. The District’s collection system is comprised of approximately 1,100 miles of sanitary sewer lines and 27,000 manholes. The District owns and operates a 15 MGD membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment plant known as the Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility (JBWRF). This Invitation to Bid is for the repair of two Activated Sludge Transfer Pumps at Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility. The pumps are Simflo Vertical Axial-Flow Propeller pumps. These pumps transfer activated sludge (mixed liquor suspended solids) from aeration basins to membrane tanks within the facility for additional treatment. The work includes repair, reconditioning and replacement of worn parts to bring existing Simflo pumps back to “like new” condition. Additional details and pump specifications are included, below, in this document.
