Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The principal use of this service would be to track media mentions about MTSU, its students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters across print, digital, radio, television, podcast and other traditional media platforms on a local, regional, national and global scale. (Optional social media tracking.) The platform must have the ability to narrow searches of MTSU mentions in such a way as to produce the most comprehensive results on a consistent basis. • The monitoring platform must provide the ability to measure media mentions to quickly generate reports that can be shared to both internal and external stakeholders through a userfriendly interface that includes Ad Value Equivalence data and estimated Audience Reach. • The platform must also include the ability to frequently generate MTSU-branded newsletters that can be shared on a weekly or bi-weekly basis or even on demand for special projects. To create such newsletters, the platform should include both an automated and manual process to capture MTSU media mentions, preferably by specific categories as determined by the Office of News and Media Relations. • The platform’s archive must extend back at least one year with the ability to narrow searches by date(s). • The platform should include a robust database of journalists throughout the nation for targeted outreach and include the ability to generate and send such outreach within the platform as well as track engagement with said outreach. • The platform must include the ability for the user to create, format and send news releases and attachments directly to targeted media through curated distribution lists that can be stored and reused consistently within the platform. • The platform must have the ability to incorporate a separate TV media monitoring contract within its platform if the user so chooses. • The platform should provide the user with 5-8 seats for use as part of the contract, with the ability to add seats on a pro-rated basis or as negotiated between the two parties. • The contract would be 2-3 years, running Aug. 1 to July 31, with no autorenewals.
