Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall be responsible for the following at a minimum: • Developing a methodology to assess the level of comfort, safety, and ADA accessibility, along with other relevant factors, for pedestrians in different areas of the city. • Developing an interactive and user-friendly map in collaboration with the City’s GIS Department that displays the collected data, including pedestrian level of comfort scores and ADA accessibility information in the context of various factors. • Providing recommendations for improvements based on the assessment, considering factors affecting pedestrian comfort and existing land use patterns in the city. • Demonstrating proof of concept by collecting data on pedestrian infrastructure, including sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, and other relevant factors in a City-selected study area as a pilot project. • Developing a toolkit to assist the city in training staff and/or volunteers to collect and enter data to complete and update the map.
