Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Reno is soliciting proposals from Construction Companies for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility (TMWRF) Dewatering Building in east Reno. The construction cost is estimated at approximately $42,000,000 to $47,000,000. Federal Funding is anticipated to be provided through the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) and potentially other Federal funding sources including but not limited to STAG – Clean Water Community Project Funding through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Special Federal Conditions may apply to this project and are included in the package. The CMAR will provide the required pre-construction and construction services. Preconstruction services shall include assisting the design team with constructability matters, construction cost, value engineering, site and asset-specific assets, potential pre-procurement packages, fast track options, and construction planning and scheduling. The construction services shall include determining a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), procurement of all materials, subcontractor, and vendor package contracts, and managing construction of the project. The construction project includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a new municipal sewage sludge dewatering facility center on an existing City of Reno water reclamation facility parcel. The new TMWRF Dewatering Building shall include sludge dewatering centrifuges, dewatered sludge cake hoppers, screw conveyors, chemical tanks, electrical appurtenances, instrumentation and controls, and other ancillary equipment and support facilities and utilities. Site improvements will include potholing, trenching, excavation, grading, retaining wall construction, utility relocation, utility installation, and other ancillary site work as necessary to complete the project.
