Specifications include, but are not limited to: Item 1:18 Guage Type 316 L Stainless Steel Sink with #4 Finish, Regal Arkay, Model number S48726/FL or Equivalent with the following salient characteristics 1. Single Compartment 2. All welds shall be made by the Heliarc Method. Welds shall be ground smooth then chemically passivated to insure maximum corrosion resistance to conventional photographic chemistry. 3. Three Sink Lips shall be 1 ½” Wide and One 3” Wide Faucet Ledge With a 1” Down flange for strength and rigidity. 4. The Contractor shall ensure that all under sink pan surfaces are insulated to inhibit condensation for temperature retention and sound deadening. 5. A 1 ½ “diameter stainless steel drain with a 1 ¼ “long lips threaded tailpiece shall be located in the right rear corner of the sink pan 4” to center. Drain pitch is achieved with the sink stand’s leveling feet. 6. The Sink pan shall have ¾” radius coved inside corners, square inside corners. 7. The outside corners will have a 1 ½” Radius. Item 2: Water Temperature Regulator, Regal Arkay Model: Reg-5 or Equivalent with the following salient characteristics: The model REG-5 or equivalent water temperature regulator shall blend hot and cold water thermostatically and shall be designed for deck mounting. The water temperature regulator should also have the ability to be installed on a wall where exposed piping is permissible. Adjustable thermostatic motor of the water temperature regulator shall have the ability to blend hot and cold supply water with a flow rate of 1-5 GPM at 45 psi. and hold the pre-selected temperature to within +- ½ F. It should compensate for a 30% drop in the inlet pressure or a 25 F. increase or decrease fluctuation in the water inlet temperature. The unit shall be fully assembled and ready to be installed at delivery. The model REG-5 or equivalent water temperature regulator shall include a dual reading dial thermometer from 30 to 125F. or -50C., a ball shut-off valve, a vacuum breaker to protect the tempered water outlet, check stops on the inlets to prevent water cross over during shut down, a volume control on the cold-water inlet. Item 3: Sink stand Regal Arkay or equivalent (designed for wheelchair access) and features with the following salient characteristics: The University understands that the stand will be shipped disassembled and will require assembly by the University. The Contractor shall provide assembly instructions and a hardware kit for assembly. 1. Self-supporting and built to fit the sink size quoted 2. The stand shall be made from heavy 18-gauge galvanized steel. 3. The stand is 34” high from the from the front sink lip to the finished floor. 4. There shall be 27 ½” high of unobstructed clearance under the front of the sink. 5. The stand shall consist of two solid end panels with adjustable leveling feet, upper front and rear horizontal support panels, a single lower end panel support member 2” off the floor and in the rear, and a quantity of under sink pan support members. 6. The stand provides rigid support even if the sink is filled 7. The stand should be shipped disassembled. The Contractor shall assembly at the job site and provide a hardware kit and instructions.
