Specifications include, but are not limited to: Each Routine Lift Station Service and each Emergency Lift Station Service shall include the following: 1 Pumping out and removing all accumulated wet well floating debris, grease, and sludge at a single lift station. 2 Removing all buildup of debris, grease, and sludge, if present, from the inside of the wet well. 3 On-site dewatering of pumped debris, grease and sludge, if pumped liquid is to be returned to the wet well. 4 Picking up litter or other trash if present on the lift station property. 5 Proper handling and off-site disposal of all waste materials consistent with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. 6 Preparing a detailed, site-specific service report documenting time and date of each service, work performed, and conditions and appearance of the wet well at the time of service. Pumped liquid shall not be returned directly from the vacuum truck to the wet well without first dewatering. Contractor shall provide dewatering equipment (e.g., dewatering box) at the site, or shall haul all pumped liquids and solids offsite for proper disposal. Dewatering equipment, if used, must be approved by the City in advance, and shall be removed from the site immediately at the completion of each event lift station service event, whether routine or emergency in nature.
