Scope of work will include but not be limited to the following tasks: Project Management. Permitting, Layout and Submittals • Attend project meetings as required (kick-off, progress meetings, punch list walkthrough, etc.) • Prepare a construction schedule for review by the Town prior to construction. • Secure permits that may be required for construction of the softball field. • Provide construction layout of the proposed backstop, fencing and infield limits for review by the Town prior to construction. • Locate all irrigation components that may need to be relocated or modified within the limits of the proposed softball field. • Prepare shop drawing submittals for review by the Town including but not limited to the backstop, fencing, in field mix, bases, etc. Construction • Remove all grass and loam within infield (all excess loam shall become the property of the contractor and shall be legally disposed of off-site as may be required) • Relocate or modify the existing irrigation components that may conflict with the proposed softball field. • Construct softball field, backstop, fencing, bases, etc. • Rake out adjacent little league infield and refresh infield with minimum 1” infield mix. • Obtain all required building code inspections that may be required. • Loam and seed all disturbed areas that are not otherwise stabilized. The following are the minimum specifications for the backstop, fencing, infield mix, and bases. • Backstop: o Fencing – Black vinyl coated chain link fence o Infield Mix – Turface Athletics Diamond Select or approved equal with 70% sand content o Bases shall have support posts o Home base and the pitcher’s area shall have brick base
