Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected Law Firm will provide a comprehensive range of legal services to NNEPRA that includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: 1. Assist in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing the wide variety of contracts that NNEPRA enters into as part of the regular course of business. Examples include contracts for improvements to the rail lines over which the Downeaster passenger rail service operates, contracts for marketing and other services, employment contracts, and amendments to the service agreement between NNEPRA and Amtrak for Amtrak’s operation of the Downeaster passenger rail service. 2. Assist NNEPRA in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing real estate-related agreements, such as leases for office space and leases, licenses, and easements that may be required in connection with passenger rail station projects. 3. Assist NNEPRA in other real estate-related matters, including matters relating to NNEPRA’s passenger rail layover facilities in Portland and Brunswick, as well as possible future real estate acquisitions or agreements.
