Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Evaluate the condition of front entry area masonry elements to determine if they can be repaired or if they need to be replaced. • Block off work area using cones, caution tape, orange fencing, and/or any other means necessary to ensure pedestrian safety during renovation and project work. Ensure access to partial entrance, during normal business hours with limited exception. • Clean walls and flatwork with high-pressure to remove loose materials and fully expose any areas of repair needed. • Repair any void or missing mortar joints with mortar and tuckpointing, where needed, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure. • Patch all limestone capstones and columns with mortar, and where needed, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure. • Apply sealant caulk to all moving joints, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure • Clean walls and flatwork with high-pressure prior to commencing primer and coating element of project work. • Furnish and install primer coat to the entry/porch area, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure. • Furnish and install base coat to the entry/porch area, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure. • Furnish and install wear coat to the entry/porch area, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure. • Sand the coating area to refusal, and furnish/install top coat, in a manner appropriate to the historic nature of the structure. • Remove all trash and debris from work site.
