Specifications include, but are not limited to: The vendor shall be responsible for supplying all materials, rental equipment, and personnel required for dosing Lime Slurry into clarifier #4 at Algiers Water Plant. Equipment/Materials consists of, but is not limited to: 1) Regular deliveries of liquid lime slurry capable of treating 3-12 MGD a. Material shall be delivered free of crystalline silica. b. Slurry shall be made from Quicklime and not hydrated lime. c. Lime Slurry shall have a minimum of 40% total solids. d. Calcium hydroxide percentage of slurry shall be greater than or equal to 40%. e. Settling rate of slurry shall be less than 1% over a 24-hour period. f. Slurry should be stable and remixable after 72 hours without agitation. g. The product shall contain a polymer to clean and maintain feed system. h. Three references of proof must be provided. i. Product should be capable of being fed neat or diluted with water. j. A certificate of analysis must be provided with each delivery. k. 1 Liter sample shall be provided within 5 days of bid submittal. 2) A mixing tank rental for Slurry capable of storing/mixing 6,000 gallons or more. 3) All rental dosing supplies including hose and fittings sized properly to maintain adequate flow rates, and berm required for containing any possible spillage. 4) Rental Peristaltic pump and VFD capable of producing fully variable flow rates from 0 to 1200 gallons per day. 5) Sampling Consumables.
