Specifications include, but are not limited to: Replace bridges, each with a light weight, 10-foot travel way and 30-55 feet travel length, end to end of girder. Mainline pipe ranges from 12” to 4” and will be replaced with HDPE DR rating 11. Couplings to connect to existing PVC will be Mega Lug. Bridges must hold 20,000 pounds plus the weight of the mainline pipe and water inside of it. Bridges must have an 18” railing on both sides Bridges must be properly engineered for optimal abutment, preferred helical pile Pipe replacements will need to remove old and install new concrete thrust block All bridges will need to have stringers or a way to secure the mainline and conduits It is the intent of the City to replace bridges when funds are available annually over the next 3-4 years. There is no guarantee that funds will become available to perform any or all of the work and the selected responder is not guaranteed any work by being selected or entering into the contract below.
