Specifications include, but are not limited to: The New Mexico Department of Transportation’s (NMDOT or Department) Traffic Safety Division (TSD) is seeking professional services to coordinate media placement and manage media contracts aimed at the reduction of all motor vehicle-related crashes, injuries, and deaths as well as other initiatives as directed by the Department. The media marketing campaign will support existing programs established by the Traffic Safety Division the Department. As part of the ongoing advertising and public education campaign against DWI and other traffic safety related issues such as seatbelt usage, distracted driving, and speeding, the Department seeks a Contractor who can manage several contracts and coordinate media placement through various media outlets, including but not limited to, television, radio, advertisers, and production companies. Overall, there has been significant progress in the past decade in reducing traffic crashes and injuries despite population and traffic volume changes. The State of New Mexico has made progress in previous historically high levels of traffic fatalities and particularly alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes. As a result, the State of New Mexico has enacted numerous legislative and public education countermeasures, including enforcement, education, media, and engineering.
