Specifications include, but are not limited to: To restore and maintain quality wetland habitat, Private Landowners are seeking a contractor that can provide chemical and mechanical treatments to undesirable vegetation throughout their property. This work will be carried out by floating tracked vehicles capable of traversing various wetland environments from various access points. Vegetation will be treated with approved herbicides during Phase 1, then trampled during Phase 2. Phase 1 treatments must be carried out within the same year between July and October 5th 2024. Phase 1 must be completed at the CDC by September 25, 2024. Phase 2 treatments must be carried out within the same year between January 20th and April 15th 2025. The 625 acres at the Chesapeake Duck Club will be retreatment areas from last year. The 30 acres on the other private property have had no prior treatment. Acreages treated will be determined with the use of GPS data logging technology aboard each machine in use.
