Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. GENERAL: • Berkeley County is looking to purchase a new 2024 TDS (Tarp Deployment System) for their ADC (Alternative Daily Cover) to replace the two current 2015 units on site. The system should have 6 tarps, with no ballast mounted on two interchangeable spools. 2. APPLICATION: • The TDS (Tarp Deployment System) will be utilized as back up ADC for the working face on our Class III Landfill when primary cover system is down. 3. FRAME: • Must be constructed from heavy gauge structural steel. 4. WEIGHT: • Frame must not exceed a max weight of 13000lbs. • Frame must be able to support the weight of 3 ballasted tarps, if needed. 5. TARPS: • The TDS unit must the able to accommodate 3 tarps per spool with a minimum measurement of 40ft x 100ft. • Tarps will be un-ballasted free of chains and cables. • TDS unit should be able to support 4 tarps if required for application for extended periods of time. 6. ENGINE AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEM: • All fluid and check points must be easily accessible. • All fluid filters must spin on and be easily accessible. • Engine and hydraulic system should be able to operate sufficiently under max load conditions both in forward direction and in reverse operation. • Engine should be enclosed and equipped with remote start. 7. EQUIPMENT ATTACHMENT: • Lifting Brackets should be adjustable and easily adapted to fit a D-7, D-8, 826 Cat Compactor or 1173 Bomag Compactor. 8. OPERATION CONTROLS: • TDS unit must be able to be operated from ground level. • TDS unit must be equipped with a remote operation that allows the unit to be operated from the cab of the lifting equipment with remote start. 9. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Two sets of operator manuals • Copy of warranties and any other coverages • Parts and service manuals • If any keys are required, we request 4 of each. • Two remote transmitters • Mechanic / Operator training
