Specifications include, but are not limited to: replacement of six (6) roof drains along the exterior curtainwall of Concourse DE in the vicinity of the exterior patio area. The work, to be done on the secure side of the airport from the apron, will require the removal of exterior metal panels at 5 column bays to access the work, followed by removal of the existing drains and replacement with a stainless-steel sump collection box for each drain, continuously welded to the underside of the existing stainless steel gutter. Connection of the sump boxes to the existing pipe lateral, insulation of the storm pipe lateral and application of foamed-in-place spray insulation to fully encapsulate the sump box. Repair of water damaged FRT plywood in the area of the six drains, fabrication of one approximately 8-foot-long metal panel to replace an existing panel, and leak testing of the sump boxes and connections to assure watertightness and reinstallation of the metal panels. Additional work includes the selective demolition and replacement of damaged exterior gypsum ceiling areas at the Arrivals Level baggage area as identified on the drawings.
