Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Channel Section Expansion Objective: Widen overbanks (i.e., floodplain) to manage higher flow events. Tasks: • Based on direction from the ERM office, expand sections of stream channel and overbanks in appropriate areas. Support application for Stream Alteration Permit, if appropriate. • Implement earth-moving and grading activities. • Implement erosion and runoff mitigation. 2. Roadside Ditch Improvements Objective: Improve roadside ditches to enhance drainage. Tasks: • Based on direction from the ERM office, improve sections of roadside ditches. • Construct improvements that restore or enhance ditch function. 3. Roadway Construction & Improvement Objective: Reconstruct unpaved roads and shoulders that have been damaged by erosion and improve training site accessibility. Tasks: • Reconstruct an unpaved road where catastrophic erosion damaged a part or all of the road (assume 30 feet wide). • Based on direction from the ERM office, apply road stabilization measures to increase the stability and/or plasticity of unpaved roads. • Based on direction from the ERM office, construct an unpaved road shoulder where there was none or where the shoulder is severely damaged by erosion...
