Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the responsibility of each location to coordinate with the successful vendor a scheduled date and time for servicing of fire extinguishers. The awarded vendor shall confirm the type and quantity of extinguishers to be serviced and shall promptly respond to the request for service. In the event the awarded vendor fails to respond to the request for service or fails to keep appointments for inspections at the agreed upon date and time LCG reserves the right to obtain service from another vendor. Quantities are estimated. LCG shall not be held liable for quantities stated. This is an as needed contract. LCG shall only pay for work performed. The successful vendor shall provide same day refilling unless loaners can be provided. Bids will be evaluated on the total cost of replacing, hydrostatic testing, refilling and inspecting of each extinguisher in accordance with “NFPA” standards. Bids shall include any and all charges for travel time, insurance, labor, material, etc. to replace, recharge, test, repair and inspect. Each tag must be waterproof and signed by a certified repair person. Price of new units shall include the cost of any inspection and shall include a tag with the date of inspection and or install. No additional charges shall be accepted for new units. All Federal, State, Parish and City taxes that are the responsibility of the vendor shall be included in the unit price on the bid form. The successful vendor will also have to provide each location inspected, with an inspection and work summary report. LCG reserves the right to request a copy of blank bidder’s inspection and work summary report form prior to award of contract. Any removal of fire extinguishers for the testing at any LCG Location must be removed and replaced with like size loaner extinguisher.
