Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall deliver aircraft factory new, rebuilt or overhauled engines, engine cylinders, engine magnetos, engine starters, engine carburetors and pick up engine cores as initiated by the state’s orders. All engine specifications shall be described by the Aircraft Section on the delivery order and shall be strictly adhered to by the contractor. Any discrepancies shall be corrected at the contactor’s expense. The Lycoming engines shall be Textron Lycoming factory new, rebuilt or “0” hour overhauled exchanged. Engines shall have new cylinders installed (reconditioned cylinders are not acceptable). All magnetos, carburetors, and starters shall be overhauled. New ignition harnesses shall be installed. Lycoming does not offer overhauled engines without a core. If the purchase of a Lycoming engine without a usable core for exchange becomes necessary, a new engine shall be purchased at the same discounted percentage offered. The Continental engines shall be a Teledyne Continental Motors, Inc. factory new, rebuilt or “0” hour overhauled exchange. Engines shall have new cylinders installed (reconditioned cylinders are not acceptable). All magnetos, carburetors, and fuel injection systems and starters shall be overhauled. Non-congealing oil cooler shall be installed in each engine. New ignition harnesses shall be installed.
