Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services Requested: • Complete removal of existing roofing material to the original decking, soffit and fascia. • Install new decking material as needed to support roofing system. • Installation of soffit and vented fascia. • Installation of ice & water shield, 6’ on leading edges, transitions and valleys. • Installation of new drip edge. • Installation of synthetic underlayment. • Installation of 35-year architectural shingles, using hurricane nailing pattern. • Removal and proper disposal of project debris and complete site restoration. Work will consist of the following general provisions: • The Town will not accept the use of IKO Asphalt Shingles under any circumstances. • It is understood that except as otherwise specifically stated in the contract, the vendor (contractor) shall provide and pay for all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and transportation of every nature and all other services and facilities of every nature whatsoever, necessary to execute, complete and deliver the work within the specified time. • All supplies and material shall be new. • Any work necessary to be performed after regular working hours, such as work performed on Sundays or legal holidays shall be performed without additional expense to the Town. • The contractor’s operations shall not interfere with fire department operations and/or emergency vehicles. • The contractor shall not work, store or operate equipment outside designated work areas without the permission of the Fire Chief.
