Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor will collect shrub seeds from an agency-approved location or purchase seeds through a vendor that has collected seeds from a suitable ecotype. Shrubs will be planted in targeted locations of the Lower Deschutes Wildlife Area. Species collected will be grown for delivery in the fall of 2024. Total number of plants requested to be grown is approximately 25,000: 15,000 basin big sagebrush, 7,500 antelope bitterbrush, and 2,500 winterfat. Plants can be provided in plugs (10 cu. in. plug or similar size). Contractor may complete all tasks independently or complete portions through subcontractors, however the contractor will manage all aspects of the requested tasks. Provide all necessary equipment for planting, including UTVs, trucks, planting tools, etc. Some planting locations are behind locked gate. The term of the Contract is August 31, 2024 through December 31, 2025. Agency anticipates the award of one Contract from this solicitation. The initial term of the Contract is anticipated to be one (1) year with options to renew up to a maximum of 1 year.
