Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Athletics Title IX Compliance i. Provide advice, counsel, and representation with respect to UNM’s compliance with Title IX as it relates specifically to its Athletics Department. Firms should have expertise with all phases of planning, implementing and monitoring a plan for complying with Title IX in the context of Division I athletics. ii. Advise, counsel and represent UNM relative to investigations, inquiries and enforcement actions brought by federal agencies, including the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights, pertaining to UNM’s compliance with Title IX in the athletics context; iii. Advise, counsel and represent the University in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, trials and other proceedings related to actions taken by federal agencies relating to UNM’s compliance with Title IX in the athletics context; iv. Provide advice, counsel, and representation regarding programs and strategies to ensure UNM’s compliance with Title IX in the athletics context; v. Provide advice, counsel, and representation regarding University policies with regard to compliance with Title IX in the athletics context, and legal best practices regarding the same;
