Specifications include, but are not limited to: All vehicles must be satisfactorily repaired within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of authorization of repairs. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a $10.00 charge for each additional day the vehicle is out of service being assessed against the vendor. The only exception will be written proof that the parts required to complete the repair are on factory backorder. 4.2 Vendor will not be required to pick up damaged vehicles from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and transport them to their repair facility. 4.3 If a damaged vehicle is undrivable, Knox County will be responsible for towing the vehicle to the vendor. Any additional towing will be the sole responsibility of the vendor. 4.4 No aftermarket suspension parts will be installed on any Knox County emergency vehicle at any time. 4.5 Factory replacement body panels shall be used on all Knox County vehicles unless previously authorized by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. 4.6 Knox County vehicles shall receive priority service. 4.7 Knox County reserves the right to inspect and refuse any repair work found to be unsatisfactory. Additional repairs must be made immediately, at vendor’s expense, to correct the problem. 4.8 All repaired vehicles will be washed and the interior clean and free from body shop dust before the vehicle is accepted.
