Specifications include, but are not limited to: administer and implement a statewide program (the “Program”) that provides public education, information, technical assistance, research, and evaluation focused on reducing the incidence of alcoholrelated crashes, underage drinking, other identified traffic safety issues and increasing seat belt use in Kansas. The Contractor awarded the KTSRO contract (the “Contract”) will focus on increasing occupant protection usage rates for all ages, reducing the number of impaired drivers, preventing underage alcohol consumption, and increasing safe driving practices. The Contractor will work closely with the KDOT Bureau of Transportation Safety and the Kansas Behavioral Safety Section (KBSS), Safe Kids Kansas, state and local law enforcement, driver education programs, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapters, overrepresented and underserved communities, minority organizations, employers, and other traffic safety advocates around the state.
