Contractor’s Responsibilities 1. Contractor is responsible for janitorial services for the facility and must keep the facility, including all outside areas, clean and sanitary at all times. 2. Contractor must have Restroom and Shower Monitors as outlined in 3.6 “Staffing Requirements” who ensure the safety and security of the restrooms and escort and monitor showers. Showers and toilets will be inspected for cleanliness after each use. 3. Contractor will restrict client movement within the facility as instructed by AHD. Areas that are not for client use are to be kept closed and locked. 4. Contractor will ensure that all exits remain clear of snow, ice, or other debris that would block the exit. 5. Contractor will ensure that all trash is emptied and taken to the facility’s dumpsters as needed. 6. Contractor will report any facility maintenance issues via email to the AHD Program Manager. 7. The Municipality will provide adequate cots at the beginning of the contract. Any cots that are unable to be returned at the end of the contract period will be reimbursed to the Municipality at Contractor’s expense. If at any time a cot or multiple cots become unusable, the Contractor must notify the AHD POC immediately and is required to replace the cot or cots with the same or substantially similar model of cot. 8. Contractor will provide their own phones, computers, and internet access. 9. Contractor will provide staff with HAZMAT training and education for any hazardous materials they may encounter when carrying out their assigned work tasks. Staff will be trained in blood/bodily fluid safety and clean up protocols. Staff will perform regular cleaning sweeps of active facility areas during their shifts. All staff will receive appropriate training for the identification of common pests as well as prevention and control measures.
