Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor will provide services to remove existing welding booths, remove the circuitry to existing welders preventing the removal of the welding booths, and temporarily remove (where needed) existing electrical disconnects serving welders. New booth to be installed in existing booth locations. A new QGS-10 Quincy Compressor and supplemental 120-gallon vertical air receiver will be installed within the current welding shop to supply new booths’ compressed air demands. New 2” schedule 40 threaded carbon steel compressed air piping will be installed with air dryer or water drain trap per manufacturer’s specifications. 1-1/2” branch piping will supply 1” flexible hose connections to supply individual booths. Each tie-in location will have a ball valve to isolate the booth. Existing electrical disconnects will be reinstalled (with modified existing circuitry to new locations) and new circuitry from disconnects to welders will be provided. New conduit routing will be such that welding booths can be moved/removed in the future without requiring conduit demolition. The contractor will install new booths to the manufacturer’s specifications and will be responsible for installing a code compliant system.
