2.6.1 Navigating the Enrollment Process: The Contractor shall provide services and supports to those applying to join the workforce as Homecare Workers, Personal Care Attendants, or Personal Support Workers, and who choose to participate in the program, from the point of application through the first six months of Medicaid enrollment by providing guidance on the following in the individual’s language of choice: 2.6.1.1 Completing enrollment paperwork; 2.6.1.2 Using ORCHARDS to complete a criminal history background check; 2.6.1.3 Registering for new worker orientation and training; 2.6.1.4 How to effectively communicate with the local office during the enrollment process; 2.6.1.5 Next-steps to take once a Provider number is issued; 2.6.1.6 Monitor Applicants’ progress through the enrollment process; and 2.6.1.7 Provide direction to ensure Applicants complete the process. 2.6.2 Supports for Newly Enrolled Providers: Contractor shall support newly enrolled Providers in successfully navigating the Medicaid and OPI long-term care system by providing information, resources, and skill-building on how to be a successful employee of individuals who received Medicaid and OPI services that includes, but is not limited to: 2.6.2.1 How to register for and effectively use the Carina registry to find work; 2.6.2.2 How to highlight their skills, abilities, and interests on Carina; 2.6.2.3 Resume-building; 2.6.2.4 Effective interviewing skills; 2.6.2.5 Verbal and written communication skills; 2.6.2.6 Professionalism; 2.6.2.7 The benefits of professional development and training through Carewell SEIU 503 Training and the OHCC; 2.6.2.8 How to effectively network with other in-home Providers; 2.6.2.9 How to use the appropriate electronic visit verification payment system; 2.6.2.10 When to contact the local APD or ODDS office, or the OHCC, for assistance or to report issues; 2.6.2.11 How to use and find available resources as a Provider (OHCC, Carewell SEIU 503, SEIU, etc.); 2.6.2.12 Planning and time management skills; 2.6.2.13 How to read and understand a task list or service agreement; 2.6.2.14 How to track their credential end dates and complete all required tasks for renewal timely; and 2.6.2.15 Computer literacy. 2.6.3 Follow-Up Supports: Contractor shall provide guidance, if necessary, to newly enrolled providers, including, but not limited to: 2.6.3.1 Monitor and provide guidance to ensure enrolled Providers complete core training requirements timely; 2.6.3.2 Track if enrolled Providers find employment, and, if not, determine what assistance is needed.
