MDHA intends to use the services of the architectural and engineering firms on an undetermined number of projects to be designated by MDHA during the term of this agreement. Services to be provided include but are not limited to the following: 2.1.1 Assist MDHA in selecting a project delivery method. 2.1.2 Assist MDHA in selecting the appropriate contract in accordance with the delivery method selected and one that meets all requirements established by the source of the funding. 2.1.3 Preparation of concept designs. 2.1.4 Preparation of construction documents including any/all drawings, specifications and details necessary for contract bidding purposes. 2.1.5 Preparation of construction cost estimates. 2.1.6 Preparation and/or review studies, evaluations, reports and construction documents for completeness, technical adequacy and optimum construction feasibility and economy. 2.1.7 Assistance in the bid process, if applicable to the delivery method selected. 2.1.8 Review of shop drawings, catalog cuts or other construction contractor submittals for approval or recommendation for any other appropriate action. 2.1.9 Provide construction-monitoring services and reporting. 2.1.10 The consultant shall be experienced in all facets of design of new construction and renovation of residential (multi-family) and commercial, civic and institutional buildings, roads, site development and utilities (water, sewer, storm drain, steam gas, electric, telephone and communication). Experience with sustainable design regarding energy and water is required. See Section 4.7.1 for more information pertaining to team composition. 2.1.11 The consultant may either provide the above disciplines within his/her firm, or through joint ventures or agreements with other firms.
