Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Trainings should help attendees learn how to address at least one of the following: 1. Recognizing and understanding how to respond to mental health issues or when mental health disorders may be present; 2. Recognizing and addressing substance use disorders, including alcohol use, opioid use, or other legal, recreational, and/or illegal substances, including how to intervene and refer to treatment; 3. Understanding the risk, resiliency and protective factors to reduce mental health disorders and/or harmful behaviors; 4. Specific treatment/therapeutic modalities to address mental health diagnoses or substance use disorders 5. The methods to prevent suicidal ideation and/or actions; including the implementation of specific treatment modalities and/or how to intervene and/or how to refer to treatment 6. Trauma-informed practices, including understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs); becoming trauma-responsive; and/or how to create a traumaresponsive community 7. The promotion and implementation of healthy practices to improve mental health and well- being; which may include practices to develop and/or maintain good mental health, and/or self-care, and/or post-treatment support 8. Understanding what may constitute a mental health crisis and how to intervene, including understanding of crisis-related resources
