Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is seeking proposals from individuals, firms, teams or consultants, hereafter called “Proposer(s),” with demonstrated experience in elevator consulting services, and proposes to engage the successful Proposer for the following services: 3.1. Assessment 3.1.1. Walk the facilities to survey the existing elevator components, doors, cab finishes, visual and audible accessories, elevator pit, machine room, electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and all related elevator equipment located at the buildings. 3.1.2. Evaluate the safety performance and elevator maintenance plan and maintenance records. 3.1.3. Provide a detailed report to clearly identify the existing make/model of elevator and all existing equipment with an assessment of repairs required including an assessment of useful life remaining. 3.1.4. Consultant is to provide recommendations in the report to modernize and/or upgrade the elevator to comply with all applicable codes and laws, including any upgrades required to ancillary systems including but not limited to such as fire/smoke detection, sump pits, and fire protection. 3.1.5. The report should include a summary of recommendations and several options for the City to evaluate. 3.1.6. An estimated cost to complete the repairs should be included with the report. 3.1.7. The consultant is to provide a draft report per elevator for the City to review and provide one (1) meeting to discuss the report and (1) update to the report based on the options selected by the City. 3.1.8. Develop specifications and solicitation documents 3.1.9. Design Professional Services / Construction Documents Once the report is finalized, the consultant shall prepare detailed construction documents, including drawings (if required) and specifications ready for solicitation of competitive bids by The City of Portland. 3.1.10. The documents shall include the ancillary scope which may be required to bring the elevator assembly into code compliance. 3.1.11. Consultant may be required to attend up to two (2) design and coordination meetings with the representatives from the City of Portland.
