Specifications include, but are not limited to: UND College of Engineering and Mines is seeking the following equipment to perform ultrasonic inspection of defects in thermosets-based composites for wind turbine applications: The system should be portable and lightweight with embedded high speed 1 channel C-scan with a redundant channel. The system will be designed for through Transmission mode and supports static or C-scan (2-D) part imaging. Should include imaging frame and motion control system with a travel of 440 mm x 440 mm. System should come with high quality control/analysis software and Research Studio post processing software. The system should include windows based 4U PC including LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse and all required cables. Training should be provided in either in-person or remote mode for installation, commissioning, and training which also include software orientation and basic NCU education. It should come with non-Contact ultrasonic transducer at 200kHz and 500kHz mode or higher mode for inspection of thermoset composites for inspection in a through Transmission mode with matching Inductance Network (MID). It will come with data A characterization and qualification report. It should come with contact Ultrasonic Transducer with 200 kHz, 350 kHz and 500 kHz capabilities with diplexer communications channel for Contact Transducer applications. In-person training at UND. UND College of Engineering and Mines will coordinate with awarded vendor when training occurs. Additional goods/services may be requested after contract award from UND, given that is mutually agreeable to both parties.
