Specifications include, but are not limited to: Preparation • Site Survey: Conduct a thorough site survey to assess the existing setup and identify any potential challenges. • Shutdown Plan: Develop and coordinate a shutdown plan to minimize disruption to facility operations. • Safety Measures: Implement all necessary safety measures and ensure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations. Removal of Existing VFD • Including proper lockout tagout procedures • Disposal of old unit Installation of New VFD • Mounting the New VFD: Securely mount the new VFD in place of the old unit. • Electrical Connections: o Connect the incoming power supply (208V, 3-phase) to the new VFD. o Connect the motor leads from the 25 HP motor to the new VFD. o Reconnect all control wiring as per the new VFD's wiring diagram. • Configuration and Programming • Configure and program the new VFD to match the operational requirements of AHU-3, including any necessary parameter settings. Testing and Commissioning o Perform an initial power-up of the new VFD and check for any faults or issues. o Verify proper communication and control signals between the VFD and the AHU control system. o Run the AHU-3 system to ensure the VFD and motor operate correctly. o Adjust VFD settings as necessary for optimal performance. • SYSTEM INTERGRATION: Ensure the VFD integrates seamlessly with the Building Management System (BMS) or other control systems. Final Inspection and Documentation • Inspection: Conduct a final inspection to ensure all work is completed to the required standards. • Documentation: o Provide as-built documentation, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and any changes made during the installation. o Deliver a report detailing the work performed, test results, and any recommendations for future maintenance.
