Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCBA: 1. Scott X3 Pro 4500PSI SCBA Harnesses that are certified to the current NFPA Standard (2013) and NIOSH 42 CFR, Part 84 CBRN with CGA connection. 2. SCBA’s should be updated to NFPA 2018 or 2019 standard when it is released at NO additional cost. 3. SCBA’s should have NFPA compliant heads-up display that is color coded to reflect cylinder pressure so wearer can monitor air supply at a glance. 4. SCBA’s should have adequate padding of shoulder straps and padded lumbar support for the comfort of the wearer with adjustable waist straps that buckle and have a regulator holster if applicable. 5. All SCBA electronic components shall be approved for intrinsic safety under UL 913 Class I, Groups C and D, Class II, Groups E,F, and G, hazardous locations. 6. SCBA’s should have a single battery power supply that powers the heads-up display and PASS device. 1. Face pieces shall be full face assemblies that are approved for use with multiple respiratory applications to enable the same user to switch from one application to another without the use of tools and without doffing the face piece. 2. The face piece shall be rated to withstand high heat and permit clear voice communication with the capability of adding voice amplification. 3. The face pieces shall come in different sizes and the supplier shall provide FIT testing to ensure proper size for each firefighter. 4. The face pieces shall have head harness that is constructed of material for fire, first responder, and CBRN applications. 5. The face piece shall have a no more than four straps that shall be flame retardant elastic and shall provide adjustment for proper face sealing. General Specifications: 1. The device should not affect the breathing flow through the system while in operation. 2. The pressure reducer shall have a back-up pressure reducing valve connected in parallel with the primary pressure reducing valve and an automatic transfer valve for redundant control. 3. The back-up pressure reducer, when activated shall also activate the low-pressure alarm in the face piece to alert the user. 4. The harness assembly shall be of a non-absorbent material to reduce contamination and aid in cleaning. 5. The shoulder harness shall have a drag rescue loop or strap that can be used to rescue the user capable of withstanding 1,000lbs horizontal force.
