Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Weekly Turf Maintenance o Irrigated Turf shall be mowed during the active growing season at a minimum of 26 occurrences. o Non-irrigated Turf shall be mowed during the active growing season at a minimum of 18 occurrences. o All turf areas shall be inspected on days of mowing services and visible debris shall be removed prior to mowing. o The mowing height shall be based on what is horticulturally appropriate for the turf variety and season, and mower blades shall be kept sharp at all times to prevent tearing of grass leaves. o Vertical obstacles shall be trimmed around to maintain a neat appearance at the time of mowing. o All fences shall be trimmed around to maintain a neat appearance at the time of mowing, excluding the east side of the east fence in Lot A and Lot D parallel to the railroad tracks. o Clippings shall be mulched and not caught or removed from turf areas except in cases where leaving clippings may damage the turf. All clippings shall be blown off of hard surfaces following mowing. • Bi-Weekly Edge Maintenance o Edges of both sidewalks and bed lines shall be maintained with a stick edger in accordance with horticultural best practices at a minimum 13 occurrences. All dirt and debris resulting from edging shall be blown off hard surfaces following edging. • Irrigated Turf Application Program o To include, but not be limited to, season-specific formulations of immediate and slow-release fertilizers and pre-emergent and postemergent herbicides designed to grow vigorous, resilient turf shall be applied. 5 applications per year. • Non-Irrigated Turf Application Program o To include, but not be limited to, season-specific formulations of immediate and slow-release fertilizers and pre-emergent and postemergent herbicides designed to grow vigorous, resilient turf shall be applied. 3 applications per year. • Aeration o Aeration shall be performed on all turf areas twice per year. Spring and Fall. MECA’s irrigation contractor will be responsible for flagging irrigation heads prior to aeration. To include overseeding with aeration in the Fall.
