Specifications include, but are not limited to: Development of Adrenal Insufficiency Training Module; To meet the requirements of House Bill 468 (2024 General Session) related to the Adrenal Crisis Rescue Medication training requirements, USBE is working with Instructure, Inc. to develop, design, and disseminate these training modules. Modules will include competency-based assessment for learners. Instructure, Inc. is the provider of our statewide CANVAS platform/Learning Management System. The State of Utah already has a contract with Instructure, Inc. to disseminate trainings to all LEAs within the state. The Board requested that the course be designed with a competency-based approach. Instructure, Inc. has the ability to develop/design this course with a competency-based approach because of their existing suite of design tools. As their design tools are existing, it would be difficult for another vendor to replicate similar outcomes. Therefore, it would be impractical to have another vendor try to duplicate a platform that USBE is already using.
