Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Reviewing testimony and veterinary medical records; 2. Interviewing complainants, respondents, and other witnesses, which may include representative legal counsel; 3. Inspecting records and documents; 4. Submitting written investigative reports in an approved format to the KBVE Executive Director in a timely manner for review by the KBVE Grievance Committee; 5. Assisting in building case files; 6. Preparing and delivering testimony in administrative hearings or in court under the direction of KBVE legal counsel and KBVE executive director; 7. Helping individuals understand the requirements of the Kentucky Veterinary Medicine Practice Act and associated regulations as interpreted by the Board; 8. Periodic and as requested visits to KBVE-certified animal control agencies to ensure proper controls are in place for controlled substances housed onsite, documenting compliance or deficiencies, and working with control agency staff on remedial measures; 9. Conducting inspection and investigations related to special permittees, equine sales, veterinary facilities, allied animal health professional (AAHP) facilities, and unlicensed work, as assigned; and 10. Other duties as assigned
