Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Initial Meeting and Project Orientation: o Conduct an initial meeting with the Kansas Water Office to understand the objectives and expectations of the technical review. o Review all relevant documentation related to the awarded water projects, including grant agreements, project proposals, and progress reports. 2. On-Site Visits for Water Project contracts: o Visit each awarded water project site to conduct thorough technical assessments at various phases throughout the project i.e. half way complete and final project checkout. o Evaluate the implementation progress, adherence to project scope of work, and compliance with best practices for project implementation. o Assess the technical quality of the project design and execution to that design. o Identify any challenges or risks that may impact project success or sustainability. 3. Data Collection and Analysis: o Gather quantitative and qualitative data during site visits, including measurements, photographs, and interviews with project stakeholders. o Analyze collected data to provide insights into project performance and adherence to technical specifications. o Prepare reports for each site visit summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations. 4. Review of Deliverables for Technical Assistance Contracts: o At the conclusion of each Technical Assistance contract, review the respective deliverable item(s) for accuracy, completeness, and/or potential problems. Items would most likely include preliminary engineering reports or other documents necessary for the planning of water-related infrastructure projects. o Provide timely report of findings to the Kansas Water Office. 5. Reporting: o Submit interim progress reports after each site visit outlining observations and preliminary findings for each project. o Prepare a final report consolidating all findings, assessments, and recommendations for each project. o Send findings to the Kansas Water Office in a clear and actionable manner, highlighting areas of success and areas needing improvement. 6. Consultation and Support: o Provide consultation and technical support to the Kansas Water Office as needed throughout the project implementation process. o Address any questions or concerns raised by the Kansas Water Office related to the technical aspects of the awarded water projects.
