Specifications include, but are not limited to: The teams under Utah State Board of Education (USBE) School Safety and Student Services are looking for information about products in the areas of building construction (locks, window security film, etc.) and design, transportation safety, technology systems (audio, intercom systems, two-way radios, etc.), crisis response systems (emergency notification, panic buttons, etc.), physical health (kits, supplies, etc.), mental health supports, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and bullying prevention. While there is no current legislation regarding many of these areas of interest, the teams are exploring services that are being utilized in the field and gathering information around what is available to schools. This could assist USBE staff when providing feedback to local education agencies (LEAs) concerning these products. Presentations are attended by members of the School Safety Center, Student Services, and Prevention teams; other USBE staff; and collaborative stakeholders to whom presentations may be of interest.
