This project is to expand the existing State Park Marina to offer additional boat ramp capacity, increased parking, additional docks/slips, and improved recreation at the marina site. The current anticipated scope includes building dikes to create an additional marina adjacent and north of the existing marina. The marina and dikes will encompass approximately 47 acres and will be 30 feet tall from the marina floor to the top of the dike. The mouth of the marina, located on the east wall of the dikes, will be approximately 80 feet wide providing access to the open water of Bear Lake. Directly opposite the mouth of the marina will be a multi-lane boat ramp. This ramp will provide vital access to the water for mariners, search and rescue teams, Utah Divisions of Wildlife Resources and State Parks. The marina will house multiple long-term boat slips with utility service. Various site improvements and public building facilities will be constructed. US-89 will be widened and improved to allow safer access in and out of the new marina expansion.
