Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project entails the repair and stabilization of the w-beam guardrail and associated embankment at an existing pipe culvert located on Slicers Mill Road, Rising Sun, MD. Recent inspection reports and site observations have identified a potential failure of the roadway embankment. Slicers Mill Road currently carries approximately 350 vehicles per day. Erosion along the roadway shoulders has begun to undermine support of the existing w-beam guardrail support posts as well as the roadway subgrade. It is expected that waterway and erosion and sediment control permits are not required to complete the word, except if it is needed based on submitted proposal. Design-Builder shall propose the best practices to protect water stream. Work should be completed in a manner to minimize inconvenience to the traveling public and adjacent property owners.
