Specifications include, but are not limited to: Material to be processed-(Up to 3 separate grinding piles different types to be ground separately) 1. Pallets, Wood construction debris, Wood furniture/cabinets 2. Brush/Limbs/tree trunks 3. Woody Screened Overs with animal bones Chipped Wood product: May be shipped or kept for use on site at WSU compost facility at customer discretion. WSU will notify vendor of intent to keep or ship end product prior to finalizing each processing date. Proposal should specify if value of (shipped) wood product is a cost or savings applied toward reduced processing costs. If materials are shipped, Vendor will provide Net Weight of materials shipped. Final grind size will be pre-approved by WSU when material is kept on site. Processors must have the ability to remove metals such as nail screws and hinges. Ability to remove metals should be specified as a percentage. This will be considered when evaluating proposals. Vendor will provide any non-acceptable materials or material size restrictions for their grinder in proposal. Examples, screw/nail size, root wads with dirt, diameter and length of tree trunks/branches. This will be considered when evaluating proposals. Frequency/Quantity: 2-4 times annually Approximately 150-300 tons each time Vendor will provide: Trucking (when required) Processing and feeding and loading equipment and labor.
