Specifications include, but are not limited to: In order to support our diverse community, we are seeking interpretation/translation provider(s) that offer the services listed below: • Translation/Interpretation services are available for all languages (non-English) spoken in El Cajon. • Capability to pre-schedule interpretation support, both over the phone and in person. • On-demand over-the-phone (OTP) interpretation services. • On-demand video interpreting services for deaf students/families. • Online portal to submit document translation requests and pre-scheduling of interpretation services for both in-person and via phone or video. • Capability to handle a high volume of requests within a short period (i.e., two weeks during Parent Teacher Conferences, Back-To-School messages, etc. The highest volume of services will be requested annually in November, during parent-teacher conferences, and vendor(s) will need to provide adequate staffing to accommodate the higher volume). • Provide both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. • If requested for in-person services, have the capability to bring interpretation devices to highattendance meetings. • Local company that understands the demographics of our changing community preferred. • Able to provide estimates/quotes before processing pre-scheduled requests and translations. • Ability to screen-share referenced documents such as report cards/progress reports during Parent Teacher Conferences, Student Support Team meetings, etc. • The capability to provide each site with its own access that can be monitored centrally (to allow tracking of requests for invoice verification). • Option to customize requester intake questions (name, site, language, etc.) to provide enough relevant information for invoice tracking purposes. • Services available Monday – Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (local time)
