Specifications include, but are not limited to: [Quantity 150] - Mobile and hand-held technology devices that are user-friendly and will allow City of New Orleans Staff, and individuals requesting language or interpretation services to communicate effectively with one another in multiple languages. The minimum requirements for the devices are: 1. Provide on-demand multilingual communication capabilities for a minimum of English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and voiceto-text bilaterally. Specify the device’s connection capabilities (wired or wireless). 2. Devices must utilize automated technology for translation and interpretation. 3. When in use the device should either automatically identify spoken languages and/or have option for the end-user to manually adjust or indicate the language from a drop-down menu. 4. All devices should include compatible charging device if needed to maintain functionality. 5. Include necessary training documentation, user instructions, and information regarding maintenance schedule and help line in the event of technical difficulties. 6. The devices shall meet the industry standard of 99.99% performance and maintain user-friendly functionality. 7. Users should have the option to select their preferred language for translation through a drop-down menu or other choice selection process. 8. City of New Orleans Staff using the devices should be able to report technological issues to an accessible portal and have issues resolved in a timely manner. 9. City of New Orleans Staff and individuals requesting language or interpretation services who utilize one of the devices should be able to provide feedback on accuracy of translation at the end of each utilization period. 10. Data should be collected by the device for specific metrics (frequency of device use, length of session, languages translated, etc). Data should be accessible to designated City of New Orleans Staff in an appropriate format (i.e. xlsx or csv) All devices should include a minimum 12-month warranty. Please submit copy with quote.
