Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1 – Design. The Engineer shall perform the following tasks: 1. Prepare a preliminary design memorandum (approximately 30% design). 2. Conduct topographic survey. 3. Conduct a Class 3 Cultural Survey with a report ready for submittal to the State Historic Preservation Office. 4. Conduct permit coordination (including, UDOT as 4500 South and 3300 South are UDOT roads and the widening may encroach UDOT ROW). 5. Conduct stakeholder coordination (including City, Salt Lake County Parks and PW Ops, Holladay City, UDOT, wet and dry Utilities, and adjacent property owners). 6. Conduct typical utility locating including potholing at critical locations (assume 12 pothole locations). 7. Prepare design drawings with submittals at 60%, 90%, and 100% levels of completeness. 8. Prepare construction contract documents including specifications per APWA and city specifications. 9. Prepare opinion of probable construction cost with submittals at 60%, and 90%, and 100% levels of completeness. 10. Conduct public involvement through design and construction. a. Assume the following for this task: i. Assemble list of property owners Assume all impacts to occur on the West side of Wasatch Blvd. Include compensation requests, design requests, and concerns from owners and other pertinent information. ii. Assume outreach to City Council and Mt Olympus Community Council (4 Mtgs). iii. Act as designated project contact for all negotiations and discussions with property owner and PE/CE. iv. Propose how to keep the public informed of project progress and coordination with City PI staff. Task 2 – Bid Period Services. The City will conduct and preside over the bidding of the project. However, the engineer shall perform the following tasks: 1. Provide technical support during bid period services as needed such as answering bidder questions. 2. Attend and assist in preparing for pre-bid meeting
