The City of South Jordan seeks proposals from qualified consultants to complete a feasibility study. The consultants must be experienced in Water Reuse Feasibility Studies, Environmental Compliance, and Pre-Design. The City of South Jordan’s existing water supply sources are not adequate to meet the projected future demand. Reuse is viewed as a sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective new source of supply to stretch the water portfolio. The project will enable a substantially more robust analysis relating to project rationale and justification work, specifically enhancing the study in the following areas: • Developing a water market value impact study. • Evaluating methods acceptable to the Utah Division ofWater Rights to create and account for necessary water rights. • Evaluating if direct potable reuse (DPR) will benefit the region’s water supply portfolio as it adapts to potential climate change effects. • Evaluating less energy-intensive water treatment technologies suitable for DPR, compared to reverse osmosis.
