After hours answering services are required for the following Divisions within the Department of Health: Animal Control, Environmental, Nursing, Vital Records, and Administration. The Contractor shall provide answering services for both emergency and non-emergency calls as defined below: Emergency Service Requests – calls other than Non-Emergency Service Requests 1. Any call from any other governmental or community agencies such as law enforcement, fire department, municipality, hospital, school, other health department, etc. 2. Any call regarding an infectious disease or illness such as foodborne illness, waterborne illness, etc. 3. Any call reporting an illness outbreak 4. Any call from healthcare provider seeking public health consultation 5. Any call from a food establishment operator 6. Any call regarding an emergency event at a food establishment such as loss of power, loss of electricity, back up of sewage, loss of water or hot water, contaminated water, nonfunctioning restrooms, refrigeration issues, fire or fire damage, flooding, etc. 7. Any call from a resident regarding a malfunctioning private sewage disposal system or a back-up of sewage into the residence, or sewage on the ground surface. 8. Any call from a resident regarding loss of a potable water supply or a water contamination issue 9. A bat located in a public building or in a non-owner-occupied residence. 10. Call of a bat in a residential home bedroom, or bathroom area 11. A Call of wildlife in residence not including basements, garages or attics
