Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pierce County intends to issue a Special Facilities and Sole Source procurement exemption for UV bulbs and other components that are proprietary to the Sentinel UV Disinfection System located at the Chambers Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant. The exemption will be valid for 12 months, with a total estimated cost of $200,000. Sentinel bulbs and parts are the only components compatible with the existing County infrastructure. As the sole authorized distributor of Sentinel components and related parts in the region, De Nora is the only entity with the access to required replacement bulbs and parts. As a result, Pierce County has identified the following minimum qualifications to meet the County’s need: 1. Authorization by the OEM to sell Sentinel parts and components in Pierce County. 2. Alternatively, ability to provide parts and components of matching specifications compatible with the County’s existing Sentinel UV Disinfection System infrastructure. Pierce County has determined that De Nora is the only entity meeting the above qualifications. Any company wishing to submit a protest to this procurement exemption must include a statement describing how the company meets all of the above minimum qualifications.
