Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this ITB is to establish a single prime contract (“Contract”) based on a lump sum price for Elevator Modernization as described in the Specifications (Attachment A) for the benefit of the Department of State Lands (“DSL”), State Lands Building. The purpose of the resulting Contract is to modernize and bring up to code two building elevators. The Department of State Lands has reached the point of elevator controls replacement due to end of life and unreliable performance of the existing system. The current units are no longer serviceable for parts and are exhibiting reliability issues and do not meet modern safety code. The goal is to upgrade the car control systems and safety requirements to provide continuing safe operation and reliability. The work performed under this Contract includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, permits, and services for and incidental to the completion of all construction Work in connection with the Project described in the Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, Attachment A –Specifications and Attachment B – Plans. The scope of the Project includes, but may not be limited to, the following: 1. Modernizing two four-stop, hydraulic passenger elevators. 2. Bringing the machine room up to current code requirements. 3. Lighting upgrades to the space immediately adjacent the elevator doors. 4. Removal of existing roof vent in elevator shaft.
