Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose and intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to secure a contractor who can deliver reliable, professional, and respectful grave digging services in accordance with city policies and regulations. The city plans to retain the three (3) most qualified and lowest proposers. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing the following tasks: 1. Grave Digging: o Excavate graves to specified dimensions as per city standards and regulations. o Ensure the grave is prepared in a timely manner prior to scheduled burials. o Backfill graves and restore the area to its original condition, including grading and reseeding the disturbed area as necessary. o Be available for emergency or short-notice requests for grave digging. 2. Coordination with Cemetery Staff: o Work closely with cemetery staff and city sexton to coordinate the timing and location of grave digging. o Ensure that all work is conducted with sensitivity to the needs of grieving families. 3. Compliance with Regulations: o Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to cemetery operations. o Follow safety protocols to protect both workers and the public during grave digging activities. 4. Equipment and Tools: o Provide all necessary equipment and tools for grave digging, ensuring that they are wellmaintained and suitable for the task. 5. Record Keeping: o Maintain accurate records of all grave digging activities, including the location and dimensions of graves, dates of service, and any incidents or issues encountered. O
