Specifications include, but are not limited to: : Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Office of Purchasing & Contracting (hereinafter the “State”) is seeking to establish contracts with one or more companies that can provide Clerk of the Works (COTW) Services for the renovation of the Windsor District Court located in White River Junction, VT. The purpose of this project is to include project oversight of the construction activity for the renovation of the Windsor District Court. The Windsor County Courthouse was constructed in 1987 as a District Courthouse. Since this time little has changed in the building and building systems have evolved and improved since the building was constructed. The Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS) is working with the Vermont Judicial Bureau and an architectural firm to produce a set of construction documents to improve the energy efficiency of the building, upgrade the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, life safety systems, security systems, renovate some of the interior spaces to better meet Judiciary’s programmatic needs, and address any site issues. Some enabling work located at the Windsor County Courthouse in Woodstock, VT will include renovating an office and restroom into a temporary holding cell. The construction work is expected to commence in October 2024. The COTW will also be required to attend a pre-construction meeting and follow-up site inspections after the actual period of construction.
