Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Prior to commencement of services, Contractor will contact the CHP on-site contact person to schedule a pre-service meeting. The date of the per-service meeting shall be scheduled no later than mid-October. B. Contractor must contact and make arrangements with the CHP on-site contact person prior to all snow and ice removal services including automatic services when the snow accumulation is more than three (3) inches. Contact may be made by either telephone or in person. Failure to do so may be cause for disputing invoices for services. C. Contractor shall respond to requests for snow and ice removal within two (2) hours following each request by the CHP. Due to the critical operations of the CHP, failure to respond to snow and ice removal requests within the time constraints may result in the cancellation of the contract. D. Contractor shall apply snow melt/salt and/or salt/sand mix to the walkway area at all entrances and paths of travel. Additional caution must be taken when plowing or spreading salt during business hours. In no case shall vehicles be plowed in or salt spread when pedestrians are within range. Contractor must adjust salt spreader to minimize the chance of salt hitting vehicles or landscape plants nearby.
